Hot molten chocolate and coffee mini-cakes
True coffee and chocolate lovers are not afraid to blend these flavors and this dessert has clearly been on demand the past few years. Therefore, what can be better than homemade mini-cakes with a hot molten center prepared with top quality ingredients that combine two delicious flavors? Ingredients: 3 eggs, 100 g of sugar, 120 g of butter, 30 g of flour, 170 g of dark chocolate, 2 cups of Ideal Caffè Stagnitta Super Ideal Blend coffee (if you prefer a stronger coffee flavor over the chocolate one, prepare 3 cups of strong coffee instead of two). (Buy it online at our shop). Directions: Mix the sugar and flour together in order to avoid lumps from forming. Add the three eggs and blend well until creamy and smooth. Melt the chocolate with the butter on a double boiler. In the meantime, prepare a 2- or 3-cup coffee machine with Ideal Caffè Stagnita – Super Ideal Blend; as the chocolate and butter fuse, your coffee will be ready. While still on the stove, add the coffee (without sugar) to the fused chocolate first and then add the flour, sugar and egg mixture stirring well to get a smooth consistency. Grease with butter a few small aluminum mini-cake trays and fill them with the batter leaving 2 cm of the brim free because as it cooks, the batter will rise. Bake in hot oven at 200 °C for 10 minutes. Let cool and serve upside down with a sprinkling of powdered sugar.
